Monday's Journal
Today I was STARVING. I just wanted to eat and eat and eat. It was hard not to just pig out. But I managed with the help of the Lord and some dear ladies to eat only 25 points. Whew, that was tough!
Here is my food journal:
cocoa: 1
pancake with banana & T syrup: 6
cocoa: 1
1/2 cup mac n cheese: 4.5
salad: .5
roll with butter: 4
1 cup beef stew: 2
roll with butter: 4
banana: 2
This came to 25 points. I have 20 points left in my flex bank and I haven't used my activity points. I will end up with 15 unused activity points and 15 unused flex points this week. I am experimenting to see if I will lose more by not using them, or less. I wonder when my body will freak out and start holding onto weight in panic? Hopefully not this week, and next week I will eat more because I will be spending the night at my sister's house.

Dee,
I have been learning SO much about raw foods and how they have all the enzymes and none of the "bad stuff" that we need. Try eating a large per centage of your daily menu raw. On this food journal, for instance, the only raw foods you had were 2 bananas. Bananas are good, but have a high glycemic index. You need dark, leafy greens, etc. And try with your beef stew... try leaving most of the veggies OUT of the stew and eating a large salad INSTEAD! When I make a pot roast I only put in the garlic, onions, seasoning and couple potatoes... I leave the other veggies raw and eat them that way!
I feel SO much better since we have worked on shifting our diet to more and more raw foods. I have learned a lot from a tape I listened to by Serene Allison. (from the Above Rubies website) and from several other things I have been reading and studying!
You won't feel as hungry and you will be giving your body the enzymes and fiber it needs to break down what you are eating. You will feel better and have more energy, naturally!
Christina,
Thanks for the advice. I have been looking into raw foods, but I haven't felt ready to make the switch. I really have never liked fruits or veggies, so the days that I actually eat some are a big step for me. I hope as I slowly learn to eat more that we can slowly change over to a more raw diet. We'll see. Maybe you can say a few prayers for my eating habits ;o)
